ARNOVA GITA Webinar: "GITA Webinar: The Changing Policy and Regulatory Framework toward Foreign and Domestic NGOs and Foundations in China"

Organized by the Global Issue and Transnational Actors (GITA) Common Interest Group

We are now approaching two years of implementation of a new framework for state governance of domestic and foreign NGOs in China — which already has one of the largest and most rapidly growing NGOs and charitable communities in the world. This GITA Webinar will discuss and analyze these important policy and regulatory shifts in China, epitomized by the enactment of a national Charity Law and a national law governing overseas nonprofits, both in 2016, and their implications for domestic and foreign NGOs and foundations.

Presenter: Mark Sidel
Doyle-Bascom Professor of Law and Public Affairs, University of Wisconsin-Madison and Consultant (Asia), International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL)

Discussant: Dr. Lili Wang
Associate Professor, School of Community Resources and Development, Arizona State University

Dr. Bok Jeong, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Administration, Kean University, U.S.A.
