Call for Practitioner Case Studies Lightening Rounds

Please contact the AROCSA office with your questions by e-mailing Anastesia Okaomee, aokaomee@arnova.org

The submission of proposals for paper presentation has ended. At this time we welcome proposal submissions for case studies that utilized and/or produced technologically-driven data in the work of CSOs.

Case Study Lightening Rounds provide an opportunity for practitioners to present case studies based on research that they have collected during their work and interventions in the field. Following the 8 minutes presentation, researchers and scholars will share in discussions and draw ideas for research from questions and issues emanating from each case study. This will help prompt practice-into-research projects and also produce research-into-practice learnings that will inform evidence-based practitioner interventions .  Both (or either) qualitative and quantitative research methods are applicable for these case studies.

CRITERIA

This opportunity is limited to practitioners showcasing impactful case studies in their work that reflect the following sub-themes in the context of TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENT in Africa:

  1. Digital Innovations                                              4. CSO self-monitoring
  2. Digital governance for development                 5. CSO/CSO collaboration
  3. CSOs monitoring government                            6. CSO/ Government collaboration

We welcome presentations from any sector so long as the case study focuses on civil society engagement.

*Becoming an AROCSA member and registering for the conference is a pre-requisite for practitioners to present their case studies.  Presenters outside Nairobi will be responsible for their travel/accommodation costs.
