Welcome to a Teaching Section post-conference update after our time in Chicago.

The Teaching Section Executive Committee prepared several conference events for ARNOVA members last month. The pre-conference workshop on November 19th brought together key stakeholders with a vested interest in educating the next generation of nonprofit leaders, who then participated in a panel discussion of key knowledge, skills, and abilities that must be emphasized in nonprofit curriculums in order to create a cadre 21st century nonprofit leaders. The pre-conference workshop featured Lester Salamon, Johns Hopkins Center for Civil Society Studies; Kathleen Hale, Auburn University; Jennifer Madden, Carthage College, and Alexis AguilĂș, Ounce of Prevention Fund. We also held two teaching case study colloquy: one focused on online teaching, and the other on a face-to-face learning environment. The Teaching Section co-sponsored the ARNOVA 2015 Pre-Conference discussion session on "Teaching Ethics for NPOs," prepared by the VRADS section. There were also a host of innovative presentations on teaching and education in panels featured throughout the conference. Stay tuned for an update coming soon that outlines 2016 Teaching Section projects and objectives.
