A Message from the ARNOVA President:

Announcing our new Executive Director

After an extensive and rigorous search led by the ARNOVA Board of Directors, we are proud to announce that Dr. Lynnette Cook has accepted the position of Executive Director to begin November 18, 2019.
The Board made this selection based on Lynnette’s extensive experience and professional achievements. She holds degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (PhD in Psychology with a focus on Social Psychology) and The Ohio State (BS in Psychology), and also brings experience from the United Way of Central Ohio, Ohio Department of Health, Thoughtwell (formerly Community Research Partners), and most recently, RootStrike Labs, which provides agents of social impact the guidance, space, and context to reframe and to develop creative capacities.
We are confident that Lynnette’s many talents, collaborative and engaging leadership approach, and wide-ranging experience will help us continue ARNOVA’s record as a high-integrity, vibrant, diverse, inclusive, and growing community that creates conditions for success for its members and other stakeholders.
As we noted in the job description for this position, Lynnette will work closely with the Board to co-design the future of the organization in realizing its strategic goals and vision, including: enhancing the value of member experience while growing membership; developing external relationships to enhance contributions to knowledge, policy, and practice; and expanding organizational capacity to fulfill ARNOVA’s strategic priorities, vision, and mission.
We are excited that Lynnette will be starting her role as Executive Director at this year’s conference in San Diego. If you are attending, please say hello to her when you see her. She will provide remarks at our Member Meeting on Friday morning during the conference.

Shariq Siddiqui’s last day as Executive Director was July 31, 2019. We cannot thank him enough for the dedication, passion, compassion, and visionary leadership he has provided ARNOVA over the past six years. We will be recognizing him at our awards luncheon on Friday during the conference in San Diego.
The Board also extends its deep appreciation to Richard Klopp, who has served as Interim Executive Director during the transition. He and all of the ARNOVA staff have provided excellent support and service during this time. Thank you!
Finally, I am grateful to search committee and board members, the NVSQ editors, and staff who participated in our decision-making and to the entire ARNOVA community for your encouragement and support through this process.
Angie Eikenberry
President, Board of Directors, ARNOVA
