The Conference Theme is “Nonprofits and Philanthropy in a Polarized World: Speaking Truth to Power and Using Power to Speak Truth”.  Please see the Call for Papers below:

AWARD: $300 FOR “Best Student Paper”

What are acceptable topics? Topics should be relevant to Conference Theme and VRADS Mission which is “to provide a home within ARNOVA for those scholars of the Voluntary Nonprofit Sector (VNPS), broadly conceived, who are engaged in the theoretical and/or empirical exploration of the role of values in the sector. -Examples of the “dark side” including hate groups organized as nonprofits advancing racist or sexist agendas

-The role of “dark money” in politics which thwarts democratic processes

-How the voluntary sector aids or could address the refugee crisis

-Examples of champions of collaborative strategies who courageously speak truth to power and advance values to further the common good

-Any others relevant to the Conference Theme and VRADS Mission & values
