presents the

Best Reviewer for NVSQ

Professor Ram Cnaan

It gives us great pleasure express our appreciation to all the reviewers for the journal, and want to reiterate this at the end of another successful year for NVSQ. The goodwill of reviewers is a journal’s most precious asset, and we thank all of you who volunteer your time to provide reviewers for NVSQ.

Each year, we choose to recognize one reviewer to whom we present the Outstanding Reviewer Award. This year, we are pleased to present the Award to Professor Ram Cnaan.

Any individual reviewer submitting between January 1st and December 31st 2015 to NVSQ is automatically a candidate for the award. The NVSQ Outstanding Reviewer commends the winner for his or her outstanding peer review efforts over the past year, and recognizes both the quantity of reviews as well as the quality of reviews and the timely fashion they are done in.

What we look for in a review is the first and foremost, if the reviewer takes the article being reviewed seriously by considering all possible drawbacks in areas of theory, methods and conclusions being presented in the manuscript. While being stringent and critical, the best reviewers are thoughtful and encouraging by framing the critique in a way to help the author(s) move the article to the level of excellence.  This process continues through the many revise and resubmits necessary to get the article to a level of excellence. Professor Ram Cnaan does this and more.

In that he has reviewed more articles for NVSQ in the past year than any other reviewer…yes, part of that is a function of being asked, but part of it is in not refusing to do the many reviews we ask of him and delivering quality each and every time.

Congratulations Ram! You well deserve of this award and with it our grateful appreciation in helping NVSQ continue to publish excellent articles.
