ARNOVA 2012 Conference Activities

On Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., November 14, 2012, the Teaching Section is hosting a Pre-Conference Seminar that will focus on Developing Faculty Intercultural Competency and Communication Skills, with Jennifer Wade-Berg, Kennesaw State University, serving as the key presenter. The purpose of the seminar is to prepare the participants to teach about issues of cultural diversity and to enhance their ability to meet the needs of their diverse students. Following the seminar, ARNOVA will be hosting a Dessert Reception for the workshop participants, doctoral fellows, diversity scholars, and others.

On Thursday, November 15, 2012, at the Opening Lunch the Teaching Section is hosting a Roundtable, where authors Mary Tschirhart, North Carolina State University, and Wolfgang Bielefeld, Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis will discuss their new book, entitled Managing Nonprofit Organizations.
