Double Your Conference Pleasure! Chicago-Kent College of Law will host a symposium on “Nonprofit Oversight Under Siege: An International Comparison of Regulatory Models” on Thursday, November 19, to coincide with the start of the annual ARNOVA conference.
The symposium will address the growing institutional challenges faced by charity regulators across the globe. From the 501(c)(4) scandal that rocked the U.S. Internal Revenue Service to the budget squeeze faced by the UK charity commission to the challenges of developing regulatory regimes in China and India, these threats share characteristics important for anyone who studies nonprofit organizations to understand. Speakers include many familiar ARNOVA faces, as well as some new ones. Location and timing details are available at our conference website: http://studentorgs.kentlaw.iit.edu/cklawreview/live-symposia/nonprofit-oversight-under-siege/.
If your ARNOVA schedule is too tight to attend the symposium, many of the speakers will participate in an ARNOVA colloquy on Friday morning at 10am. Please join us at one or both events!
