Membership Rate Increase Announced
Wednesday, September 30, 2015
Dear ARNOVA Members,
During the ARNOVA Board Retreat in May 2015 the board made two decisions that will affect membership rates and terms over the next two years.
The ARNOVA board approved the following increase in individual membership rates, effective January 1, 2016:
Individual: $75 - $190
Household income less than $40,000: $75
Household income of $40,000 to $59,999: $100
Household income of $60,000 to $79,999: $140
Household income of $80,000 to $99,999: $160
Household income greater than $100,000: $190
Individual Supporting: $500
Institution Supporting: $500
ARNOVA has not increased its membership rates since it moved to the income-tier membership system in 2011. Membership rates prior to that had not been increased since 2008. This increase is necessitated by the increased staff and budget associated to ARNOVA’s work.
The ARNOVA board also voted to change the membership term to a calendar year startingJanuary 1, 2017. Currently, membership expires a year after renewal. Starting January 1, 2017, all membership registrations and renewals will expire on December 31, 2017. During the transition year, ARNOVA will pro-rate membership fees to insure that members get full value of their membership.
Starting January 1, 2016, ARNOVA will also offer an “auto-renew” option for members who seek to have their membership automatically renewed annually. More information about this will be provided towards the end of this year.
In 2016, ARNOVA will launch a number of new services. This includes free electronic access to Nonprofit Management and Leadership and free professional development webinars as part of ARNOVA membership. We are committed to adding services as a benefit of ARNOVA membership. We will provide more information about these new benefits early in 2016.
We appreciate your commitment and support of ARNOVA. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
